I haven’t been around for awhile, I know, but I have a small Christmas present for any aspiring artists out there… check out my new GET FREE ART STUFF! page. I will be updating it later, but it should be a good resource for a few of the more avid readers of this blog.

Hello Screenhog.com visitors!

Since last November, I’ve made it a priority to update this site at least twice a week. It was important, not just because I wanted to let people see a lot of the creative stuff I work on, but also because I wanted to give myself a schedule. You see, I’m not always the hardest-working person, and this was a good way to force myself to work on artistic stuff outside of work hours.

Unfortunately, there’s a problem. Most of the things I do for Screenhog.com take a few hours to make, but there are bigger projects that I want to work on, too. I have ideas in mind that would take weeks, months, or even years to build, and updating this site takes time away from those bigger projects.

So, I’m going to be updating Screenhog.com less often.

Don’t worry, this site isn’t dead. In fact, if things work out as I hope, you’ll see bigger and better things here in the next coming months (as well as the occasional random doodle, Jellyfish in Armour comic, and puzzle).

Wordpress has apparently updated its blog service, and in the process deleted the custom style of Screenhog.com. Hopefully I can figure out how to get it back. Grr.

As of today, more people have visited Screenhog.com this month than any other month in the history of this site.

I don’t thank you enough for visiting this site, so thank you. It means a lot that you enjoy what I do here.

I’ve finally added a links page. It’s incomplete, but it’s one of the many things I’ve been meaning to do, so there it is.

Also, what’s with the text-only updates so far this week? I promise the next update to this site will be more artistic in some way. :)

Do not be alarmed. Changes are being made this week to try and make this site look more presentable and less… bland. Although the look of the site is changing, the content is not.

It has occured to me that I have no idea what it is people like most about Screenhog.com. What do you keep coming back for? Comics? Games? Music?

I generally make it a rule not to do New Year’s resolutions. Really, there’s nothing particularly special about January 1st when it comes to controlling willpower. However, I make it an exception when it’s something that I’ve already been doing successfully… I just haven’t fully announced.

So here and now, I’ll announce it. I promise that in 2009, this site will have at least 2 updates a week of some kind. Music, comics, puzzles, art of all shapes and sizes… with 52 weeks x 2, that means that there will be at least 104 updates this year.

Oh, and I don’t count this as one of this week’s updates. That just feels like a cop-out.
