Word Puzzle – “Equalization”

Filed under: Puzzles,Wordplay — Screenhog @ 5:50 pm

In this puzzle, I will give you a group of four words. Three of them will have a number that the word “equals”, and based on those answers, you have to figure out what the fourth one equals. For instance:

PARTRIDGE = 1

DRUMMERS = 12
FRENCH HENS = ?

The answer is 3 (it’s the number based on the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas”). Think you’ve got what it takes to solve these? (Answers at bottom of post.)

FOOLS = 1
HALLOWS = ?

Candle

Filed under: Digital Painting — Tags: — Screenhog @ 9:05 pm

This was one of the first digital paintings I did… or at least, one of the first ones that I ever attempted to make photo-realistic. While I don’t have an eye for the level of detail needed for photo-realism, I was happy enough with it that it became my avatar for awhile on a few online forums.

Click to see the big version.

With Christmas here and everything, it seemed like an appropriate thing to post… candles seem to be one of my favorite symbols during Christmas.

Let your light shine.

Superman Vision

Filed under: Comics,Opinion — Screenhog @ 7:43 pm
Fact 1: Lead crystal is made up of at least 20% lead.
Fact 2: Superman can not see through lead.
Question: Can Superman see through lead crystal?

This was a real conversation that came up at work about a month ago.

Made this back in Oct. 2001. I’d still love to turn it into a T-shirt someday.
